Homemade Christmas Gift Reveal #2: Women's Pajama Pants

This year, everyone in my family received homemade Christmas gifts!  I'm going to reveal them one by one over the next few weeks months, since it's more fun that way (for me, at least).  This is going to make a dent in my 101 in 1001 goal #66 - sew 50 projects.

See homemade Christmas gift #1 here.

In addition to pajama pants for the guys, as seen in the link above, I also made pajama pants for my sister-in-law and mother-in-law.

The pink flannel cat pants were for my sister-in-law (her boyfriend also got cat pants... because they have cats), and the Asian-print pants were for my mother-in-law.  This pattern really reminded me of her.  She and my father-in-law lived in Japan for about a year before Andrew was born, so she really likes Japanese-inspired stuff.  They were a really soft cotton.

I used Simplicity pattern #9505 to make these.  Each pair took me about two hours, which included finishing the seams with my serger.  These pants were super easy to make - they would be a great project for someone who is just starting to sew, or if you need an easy gift idea!
