Ruh-Roh... and Weekly What?

Before I get into my Weekly What? post today - I have a little favor to ask.  Can y'all please take a second to say a quick prayer and/or send out some good vibrations for my sweet Avery?  Yesterday she taught herself how to open the pantry and ate a bag of chocolate chips while I was at work.  She spent last night at the vet and will spend at least another night to be monitored.  She barfed ALL OVER the house while I was gone, and then was made to puke some more at the vet so they could get all the bad stuff out.  Poor puppy.

Our vet is wonderful, and I know Avery is in great hands - but it's still scary!  Plus it's lonely around here without her cuddly, happy presence.  Hopefully she will be all better and get to come home soon! She is a trooper, though - here she is after emptying out her stomach at the vet, before I left her there for the night.

Thanks, guys.  Avery and I both appreciate it!  Now, on to Weekly What?  with Jenn, Ricci, and Allie.

I haven't been around much lately, because I seriously underestimated  how much work it would be to switch schools and start a new semester - but every day I feel a little bit more together, so I'll get there!  It definitely was a positive change... but man, I have been working hard to make this transition go smoothly!

Monday:  I posted my weekly 5 for Five linkup with Jenn!  Thanks so much to everyone who joined in!  Everyone is welcome to participate this Monday - I love meeting new blog friends through this linkup!

Tuesday: I was MIA in Blogland, because I had a busy day after school!  I went back to the eye doctor and got my eyes re-checked, and my prescription fixed.  I also sneakily took this picture of the creepy cat shrine that was inside of the doctor's office.  Weird, right?

Wednesday: I recapped Avery's fourth birthday celebration and gushed about how much I love BarkBox.

Thursday: The lovely Elyse did a guest post and took over my blog!

Friday: Again, no time to post this day since I was rushing to the dog hospital with my chocolate-eating dog.  Thanks in advance for the prayers/thoughts.  I will keep you all updated!

The last update I got was that she is doing well - she's done vomiting and will drink water, but is not interested in eating her food and is still on IV fluid.  The doctor also said she was having some heart arrhythmia, which is common in dogs after they eat too much chocolate, so that is why they wanted to keep her there again tonight.  I'm really thankful for our wonderful vet who I know is taking good care of my baby!
